Plum Blossoms

Plum blossoms (Japanese appricot, Ume in Japanese) bloom in February to early March, which earlier than cherry blossoms.

The shape and colors are similar to those of cherry blossoms, so plum blossoms have been popular among Japanese people since old times. Some Japanese gardens hold Plum Blossom Festival.
