Hina Arare Snacks – for girls’ festival in Japan

3 March is Hina Matsuri, girls’ festival in Japan. I talked about its origins and the Japanese dolls here, so I hope to share the traditional SNACKS this time. It will be a short but delicious post!

Hina arare is not something to hesitate to put into your mouth; It is roasted rice sweetened by sugar.

You will see in on sale at Japanese confectionery shops, which are in department stores and shopping centers dealing in foods, before and on 3 March.

In spring, there are some good Japanese sweets. When I have some, I’ll share it with you!
