I've listed cheap accommodation in Tokyo for you. You can book your favorite hostel from the links to Booking.com. Some of the hostels get often full, so I recommend booking it when you find a good one which fits you.
With this list, you can eliminate the time to search and book a hotel from more than 3000 hotels, some boring minutes on a train to your destinations, and have more exciting time to explore Tokyo before and during your memorable travel in Tokyo.
A List of Hostels named "Backpackers" or "Youth Hostel"
New hostels are located in convenient places.
Be sure to book as soon as possible because some hostels don't have many rooms.
- Tokyo Central Youth Hostel
A big Youth Hostel opened in 2011. Located near Iidabashi Station, at the center of Tokyo.
- Tokyo Ueno Youth Hostel
A business hotel was renovated into a youth hostel, so it's new. Opened in 2013. 15 minutes walk to Ueno.
- YMCA Asia Youth Center
Located near Suidobashi and some subway stations. Good access to Akihabara.
- Sakura Hostel Asakusa
A hostel in Tokyo's tourist attraction Asakusa.
- Sakura Hotel Jimbocho
Good access to Imperial Palace and Akihabara area.

- Khaosan Tokyo Kabuki
Located just next to Nakamise Street in Asakusa. A Japanese-designed hostel.
- Khaosan Tokyo Guest House Laboratory
A 5 minutes walk to Asakusa's attractions. Modern-looking.
- Khaosan Tokyo Samurai
Located in the other side of Sumida River and walking distance to Tokyo Skytree. Dorm style hostel with samurai looking.
- Khaosan World Asakusa Hostel
A clean, cool and pop hostel in Asakusa.
